ABOUT

Delu Duan is an award-winning sound designer and composer based in New York City, currently collaborating with Defacto Sound, Mr.Bronx Audio Post, Cornerstore Studio, Transported Audio.


Delu served as a Judge for the 72nd Golden Reel Awards, acting as a Blue Ribbon Panelist in both the Broadcast  Long Form Effects/Foley category and the Broadcast Short Form category.
 

Delu secured over 80 festival selections and prestigious awards, including Academy and BAFTA qualifying events. His sound design work for "When Rain Clouds Gather" was featured at the Venice Biennale Arte 2024. His exceptional sound design was also notably showcased in the Netflix-sponsored film, "Sunflower Girl." Moreover, his compositions and sound design contributions to "Dear Vanessa" took center stage at the NewFest Film Festival.

Delu earned his Master's Degree in Music Theory and Composition at New York University, with a concentration in Scoring for film and multimedia. Delu holds a BA in Recording Arts with a concentration in Film Sound from the Communication University of China.
